Hello folks, my name is Murray Atkinson, I play lead guitarist with The Odds and also play keyboards with Steven Page (ex Barenaked Ladies). I have a few spots open for lessons on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for students from beginner to advanced. I teach many styles, main areas being pop / rock / blues / funk / metal / classical. I have a great program for beginners to get you going with proper technique and basic exercises so you can easily start to learn the songs you want to play. Lessons are focused on building the techniques you will need to play the music you want to play, as ultimately this is what makes playing an instrument the most fun! And for intermediate to advanced students I can offer help finessing the finer details, demystifying theory, removing technical roadblocks, or challenging and improving your sense of rhythm / timing. I also teach music theory and can help you understand the scales, modes, chords, and teach you how to use these to improv and play freely yourself. Please respond for rates and any other inquiries!
